- Lake Harriet Montessori School is full for both fall/winter 2009 enrollment. The next anticipated openings will be for Summer 2010.
- Please bring a bottle of sunscreen for everyone to share, if your child needs a specific type of sunscreen please let Ms. Joy know.
- We need new toys for the playground! We’ll be putting out a list of desired items and their cost, so you can see what your donations are buying. We’ll have a labeled box for checks/cash. Thank you in advance. We will also accept actual toys.

About Lake Harriet Montessori School
Lake Harriet Montessori School, a nonprofit, parent board operated corporation, was incorporated in March 1982 by parents interested in providing quality preschool / kindergarten education and child-care for their children within a neighborhood setting. Each family becomes a member of the corporation for the duration of their child's enrollment and participates in the operation of the school. We are located in south Minneapolis, near Lake Harriet.
The staff at Lake Harriet Montessori School is committed to providing a fun, engaging learning environment for our students. In the Montessori classroom your child is free to pursue areas that hold their interest thus cultivating a deeper desire to learn. A Montessori student is motivated by their own inherent inner desire to investigate and explore, the teacher serves as a guide, not as an instructor. Our classroom is a lively area where children are actively exploring and investigating new worlds.
