Music on Mondays with Mr. Beau
Mr. Beau is a graduate of St. Johns University in Collegeville Minnesota with bachelors of art in music with a concentration in Piano performance. Mr. Beau's music classes involve large motor movement to rhythm and music. Each child is giving an opportunity to contribute and interact with songs and games. Twice a year Mr. Beau and the kids at LHMS put on a music program for families and friends.
Yoga on Tuesdays with Ms. Niza

In every class the children practice elements of Hatha yoga. They are also encouraged to use their imagination by creating poses, and through games. Each class has a different theme such as: A Visit to the Farm, Ancient Egypt, Deep Ocean Dive, or African Safari. The principal focus of the yoga class is to nurture a strong, healthy body, and a calm mind. Yoga is a fun way to get our children moving in an expressive way, while increasing their ability to concentrate.
M.A.T. Movement and Tumbling on Wednesdays with Ms. Kathy

Kathy Graczyk is a graduate from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Physical Education and Health with 28 years of teaching experiences. She is a mother of three who truly enjoys children, as anyone can tell from watching her classes. She strongly believes that learning should be fun. The M.A.T. class introduces your child to various stretching, strengthening as aerobic exercises accompanied by lively music.
The goal is to build a sense of enjoyment for movement, exercise and play through tumbling and games. Kathy uses hula hoops, balls, beanie babies, balance beam, parachute and other equipment to enhance learning and coordination. Your child will be able to develop at his or her own pace according to age and ability. There is no emphasis on winning or losing. Participation and creative play is the priority. Many new tumbling and balance skills will be learned as well as improved locomotor skills.
The primary focus of the class is to build your child's self-esteem and confidence while encouraging creativity through movement and play.
Spanish on Thursdays with Ms. Olga
Ms. Olga has been teaching Spanish to LHMS kids for over ten years. Her Spanish lessons include songs, games and movement. She uses many visual aids and interactive lessons to retain kid's interest. Often she brings in interesting cultural items from Mexico, Central and South America. Her lessons include Spanish language instruction as well as introducing Latino culture to the kids. Her warmth and kindness make her a well loved teacher at LHMS.
